• <span style="color: #ff0000;">Alzheimer&#8217;s disease</span>: 79,003<br />
• <span style="color: #ff0000;">Diabetes</span>: 68,705<br />
• <span style="color: #ff0000;">Influenza and Pneumonia</span>: 53,692<br />
• <span style="color: #ff0000;">Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis</span> (kidney diseases): 48,935<br />
• Intentional self-harm (suicide): 36,909</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Seven of the top ten causes of death are directly related to being overweight.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 18px; color: #0000ff;"><strong>Reduce Health Risks by Losing Weight</strong></span></p>
<p><strong>High Blood Pressure.</strong> This is a major risk factor for both heart disease and stroke. Weight loss lowers blood pressure.</p>
<p><strong>Very high blood levels of cholesterol and triglycerides</strong> (blood fats). These can also lead to heart disease and are linked to being overweight. Weight loss can dramatically lower these.</p>
<p><strong>Angina.</strong> Being overweight can also contribute to this problem that involves chest pain caused by decreased oxygen to the heart. Weight loss can reduce or eliminate angina.</p>

<p>Diet and exercise are recommended for anyone who wants to lose weight, <strong>but for most of us that task is sometimes too difficult to achieve.</strong> Here are some changes most people can make to their diet that are fairly easy.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 18px; color: #ff0000;"><strong>Never Eat these Foods</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Eliminate all sugar beverages,</strong> including diet drinks. This includes milk, soy milk, and all fruit juice. Drink only pure water, and make sure you drink at least 64 ounces a day.</li>
<li><strong>Eliminate all margarine</strong> from your diet. Butter is far better.</li>
<li><strong>Do not eat any baked goods</strong> such as cake, muffins, pastas, or breads. You can eat whole wheat products that have no preservatives.</li>
<li><strong>Do not eat ANY processed foods.</strong> If it contains preservatives, don’t eat it.</li>
<li><strong>Do not eat ANY foods that contain genetically modified ingredients</strong> such as corn or soy.</li>
<li><strong>Do not take ANY vitamins that are chemically created (synthetic).</strong> Only take vitamins that are made directly from plants.<span id="more-249"></span></li>

<p>It has always been accepted in Japan that eating sea vegetables like Nori and Wakame will prolong life. Now Japanese and other scientists have demonstrated that such assumptions are not so far fetched, given their proven ability to lower blood pressure and cholesterol, as well as thinning the blood.</p>
<p>Kelp and other seaweeds have the ability to synthesize sunlight into Vitamin D in their tissues, not unlike humans do within their skin. These are the only plants that do this in any appreciable amount.</p>
<p>In the Babylonian Epic of Gilgamesh, which is considered the source of the Biblical story of the great flood, the hero brings up from the depths of the sea a “plant” said to bestow eternal youth and immortality on the eater.</p>
<p>In about 3000 B.C., Shen Nung venerated in China as the “Father of Medicine” prescribed “plants of the sea” to all those desiring a long life, as did Confucius.<span id="more-255"></span></p>
<p>Seaweed as a staple item of diet has been used in Japan and China since prehistoric times. In 600 BC, Sze Teu wrote in China, &#8220;Some algae are a delicacy fit for the most honored guests, even for the King himself.&#8221; Some 21 species are used in everyday cookery in Japan, six of them since the 8th century. Seaweed accounts for some 10% of the Japanese diet and seaweed consumption reached an average of 3.5 kg per household in 1973, a 20% increase in 10 years.</p>
<p>The oldest book in Iceland, dating back to 961 B.C., includes detailed regulations about coastal property rights to be respected in the collection of sea vegetables.</p>
<p>There are records of sea plants being collected and eaten by the coastal populations of Northern Europe, as well as by the people around the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas.</p>
<p>The Native American Indians such as the Eskimos used sea vegetation for eating and healing throughout their history.</p>
<p>Finally, there are legitimate theories, that the only powerful “food” that could have grown in the desert would be single cell macro marine algae. There is a white single cell specie. If the conditions were right, in the morning hours, given the condensation on the rocks and sand within this ancient sea bed called the Sinai Desert, when the Sun came up and shined on the rocks, in conjunction with the Hand of God, this “Manna” (Hebrew for “we don’t know what it is”), would dry and turn fluffy white, and blow in the morning breeze like snow. <p>P.S. Name brand Multi-vitamins, One-a-Day’s and Centrum may do more harm than good since major disease has increased in the population who take those types of supplements, over the past 60 years.</p>

<p><strong>First Choice</strong></p>
<p>Are you willing to eliminate soda and sugar drinks from your diet? And are you willing to exercise 20 to 30 minutes a day by walking?</p>
<p><em>However, if you do not want to do those things you can still lose weight.</em></p>
<p><strong>Second Choice</strong></p>
<p>How much weight do you want to lose?</p>
<p>You need to be reasonable about the amount of weight you want to lose and how fast you want to take it off. A crash diet is unhealthy and dangerous. It took a lifetime to gain the weight, so you need to allow yourself time to take it off. So, what is reasonable?</p>
<p>First figure out the total amount you would like to lose. Once you have the total, determine how much you want to drop per month. I do not recommend that you attempt to lose more than 20 to 30 pounds a month. Understand that weight loss takes time.</p>
<p><strong>Third Choice</strong></p>
